Mark Lere (b. 1950) is an American sculptor known for his large-scale public installations and conceptual approach to form and language. He earned his BFA from Metropolitan State College in Denver and his MFA from the University of California, Irvine, where he studied under influential artists such as Chris Burden and Robert Irwin. Lere's work often incorporates text, architectural elements, and symbolic forms to explore themes of movement, perception, and place. His sculptures have been exhibited widely and are featured in public spaces across the U.S., including Los Angeles, Seattle, and Atlanta. He currently lives and works in the Los Angeles area.
